As is customary one year in, the Light4Lungs project was reviewed on 27 January. This was an opportunity to take a look at the progress made over the previous twelve months and check that the project is on track to meet its milestones.
The EU-funded Light4Lungs project is developing a new treatment for bacterial lung infections. The innovative solution proposes to solve the problem of microbial resistance by using inhalable light sources that kill the bacteria via a photodynamic effect.
The review was a success, with research found to be making great advancements. The project is on course to develop its alternative therapeutic framework.
